Samsung Set to Introduce a New Galaxy A Phone in 2026
Samsung’s 2026 Galaxy A series is coming into focus and early indications suggest the company will maintain its current mid range strategy. In addition to the upcoming Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57, Samsung is also preparing to launch a new Galaxy A27 next year.
This isn’t unexpected. Samsung has used the same A-series structure since 2020, starting each year with A1x devices and then updating the A2x, A3x, and A5x ranges. For 2026, the company is continuing this approach, with the A17 already released and the A27, A37 and A57 now in development.
The Galaxy A27, which uses the model number SM-A276x with the final character adjusted for each region is expected to fit between the budget A17 and the more advanced A37 and A57.
Information regarding the specifications of the Galaxy A27 remains limited at the moment. However, based on previous models, it is expected that the device will carry over several key features from the A26. These include a sizable 5,000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging and a 50MP main camera. This combination of features is expected to maintain the strong performance and camera quality that users have come to expect from Samsung’s mid range A series.
Expected to Launch in March 2026
The Galaxy A27 is also expected to receive six major Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates. This approach aligns with the company’s broader effort to provide long-term software support across much of the Galaxy A series.
Samsung often introduces its mid-range trio in the first few months of the year. If it follows the same schedule, the Galaxy A27 is expected to launch around March 2026 alongside the A37 and A57.
