Galaxy S26’s Exynos 2600 Chip Specs Finally Revealed

A few days ago, Samsung officially announced the name of its upcoming flagship smartphone processor called the Exynos 2600. This chip is likely to be featured in some of the upcoming Galaxy S26 series smartphones. Although the Exynos 2600 has not been officially released yet some significant information about its specifications and capabilities has already appeared online before the official launch.

Exynos 2600 CPU and GPU specifications

Smartphone tipster @UniverseIce has revealed that the Exynos 2600 is expected to be built using a 2nm fabrication process probably by Samsung Foundry. The processor is said to feature a total of 10 CPU cores. It includes one prime core running at 3.9GHz, three high performance cores at 3.25GHz and six mid range cores at 2.75GHz. These cores are based on Arm’s new Lumex platform which is designed to deliver faster AI performance and improved overall efficiency.

The Exynos 2600 chip is reported to come with an AMD Juno GPU also known as the Xclipse 960, which is based on AMD’s RDNA architecture. The GPU reportedly runs at a clock speed of 985MHz and is compatible with graphics APIs including OpenGL ES 3.2, OpenCL 3.0 and Vulkan 1.3 making it capable of handling both 2D and 3D graphics efficiently. Previous reports suggested that this GPU could outperform the Adreno 840 GPU found in Snapdragon’s latest chips although the final performance results might turn out differently.

The Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ are expected to come with the Exynos 2600 chip in most countries around the world. However, Canada, China and the United States they might use a different processor instead. On the other hand, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will probably feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip for all regions worldwide.

It remains to be seen whether Samsung’s next generation chip can match the performance and efficiency of the Apple A19 Pro, Dimensity 9500 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. In the past, Exynos chips have often used more power and produced more heat compared to their competitors. Reports suggest that Samsung has fixed these issues with its Heat Path Block technology which should help reduce heat and save power.
