The iQOO 16 was officially released tonight, starting at 5999 yuan . Although it is the standard version, its appearance, screen, games, and peripheral configurations are all designed to surpass the Pro Max version in terms of experience.

This new product has now arrived at our testing lab, and we’re sharing some pictures with you below.

In terms of appearance, the iQOO16 adopts a brand-new “Tomorrow’s Porthole” design. The imaging module is inspired by the idea of ​​a spaceship’s porthole. Inside the transparent cover, three lenses are connected by a mechanical structure to form a visual symbol called “Navigator”, which is highly recognizable.

The “Light Chasing” color option utilizes an exclusive laser holographic process. After multi-layer precision processing, rotating the phone causes the back cover to change between red and blue light, creating a strong futuristic feel. Two other color options are also available: “Legend” and “Racing”.

The screen is the biggest highlight this time. It’s a custom-designed screen jointly developed by iQOO and Samsung Display, and it’s the world’s first to feature a 2K 165Hz refresh rate. It uses Samsung’s latest M16 luminescent material and LEAD 2.0 polarizer-free technology, reducing power consumption by 30% while maintaining 2K resolution and a high refresh rate.

With a peak brightness of up to 10,000 nits, the screen remains clearly visible even in bright outdoor light. It also features full-brightness DC and high-frequency PWM dimming, balancing smooth gameplay with eye protection.

In terms of performance, the iQOO 16 is among the first to be equipped with the sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Super Supreme Edition chip, paired with a new generation of self-developed e-sports chip and the Monster super core engine, further unleashing gaming performance.

The motor and stereo speakers are all top-of-the-line, making the vibration and sound immersion during gameplay even stronger.

At the system level, the iQOO 16 will be among the first to be equipped with OriginOS 7. The new system adds the Blue Heart Little V Pro mode, upgrades AI capabilities, and also features brand-new wallpapers and light and shadow aesthetics, resulting in an overall improvement in smoothness.
