Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen6 Pro’s main frequency exceeds 5GHz: an unprecedented achievement.
Qualcomm will release its new Snapdragon 8 series platform, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen6 Pro, in September this year. Both chips use TSMC’s 2nm N2P process and are Qualcomm’s first 2nm chips .
Thanks to TSMC’s more advanced manufacturing process, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen6 series chipset will achieve higher frequencies. Leaks suggest that the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen6 Pro’s super core frequency will exceed 5GHz, making it the mobile chip with the highest CPU frequency in the industry. For comparison, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5’s CPU frequency is 4.61GHz.
It is reported that, in order to unleash more aggressive performance, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen6 Pro adopts the same Heat Pass Block cooling technology as the Samsung Exynos 2600, and it also supports the new LPDDR6 memory and UFS 5.0 flash memory.
In addition, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen6 series adopts a brand-new 2+3+3 architecture design, which is an adjustment compared to the previous generation’s “2+6” architecture, and its performance will reach new heights.
As is customary, the Xiaomi 18 series will be the first to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen6 series flagship platform. The phone will be officially unveiled in September this year, and it will be the most powerful high-end flagship in the Android camp.
