The Samsung Galaxy S24 series appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking website, revealing a performance comparison between the Exynos 2400 and Snapdragon 8 Gen3 versions. Samsung is set to release the Galaxy S24 series on January 18th, featuring both these variants.

The Geekbench scores indicate that the Exynos 2400 version falls short in both single-core and multi-core performance compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 version. Specifically, the Exynos 2400 version scored 2193 in single-core and 6895 in multi-core tests, while the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 version achieved higher scores of 2297 in single-core and 7104 in multi-core tests.

The Exynos 2400, manufactured by Samsung, is designed with a 1+2+3+4 architecture. Its super-large core is the Cortex X4 with a CPU frequency of 3.1GHz. In contrast, the Snapdragon 8 Gen3, produced by TSMC, also uses the Cortex X4 super-large core but reaches a higher CPU frequency of 3.3GHz, giving it a more pronounced performance advantage.

According to leaked information, the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will be available in the European market with the Exynos 2400 version, while the North American and Chinese versions will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen3.

This performance difference between the Exynos and Snapdragon versions of the Galaxy S24 series highlights the ongoing competition and variation in chipset capabilities within the smartphone industry.
