Xiaomi reintroduced the Xiaomi 14 Ultra Titanium Metal Special Edition, priced at 8,799 yuan, marking it as Xiaomi’s most premium mass-produced flat-screen device to date. Despite its near ten-thousand yuan price tag, the device has been in high demand and consistently out of stock since its initial release.

According to official announcements, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra Titanium Metal Special Edition is now available for purchase across all channels, exclusively offering a 16GB+1TB storage combination. This model is priced 1,000 yuan higher than the top-tier standard version, which retails for 7,799 yuan. The price difference is attributed to the high cost of production for the Titanium Metal Special Edition, which utilizes a combination of titanium alloy and dragon armor architecture to significantly enhance the device’s overall strength.

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra employs TC-4 titanium alloy, known for its robustness and higher strength compared to the titanium metal version of the Xiaomi 14 Pro. With a yield strength of up to 900MPa, the TC-4 titanium alloy presents greater challenges in manufacturing.

The production process abandons traditional machining in favor of the more complex and intricate MIM (Metal Injection Molding) technique, followed by CNC machining and surface treatment to achieve the final product. Lu Weibing revealed that this version requires custom CNC tools, with a yield rate of only 50%, contributing to its high production cost.

In terms of core specifications, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra Titanium Metal Edition features a 2K 120Hz display, is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3 chip, houses a 5300mAh Jinsha River battery, and supports 90W fast charging along with 80W wireless fast charging.
